Differences between CPVC Electrical Pipes and MPP Electrical Pipes

2025-07-24

When purchasing electrical pipes, customers often do not understand the differences between CPVC power pipes and MPP electric pipes, in order for users to better understand, the following is an introduction to the differences between them:

Difference 1: Characteristics

MPP electrical pipe is made of polypropylene (PP) material, which has good insulation performance, high temperature resistance, strong compressive performance, light weight, easy construction, smooth inner and outer walls, low friction, long service life, and good performance.

CPVC electrical pipe uses chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) resin as the masterbatch, which has the characteristics of high strength, good flexibility, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, good flame retardant insulation performance, not easy to age, lightweight, and convenient construction.

Difference 2: Applicability

Compared with the traditional trenching and burial method, MPP electric pipe construction is more convenient to reduce the damage to the road surface, has a wide range of applications, and can also lay pipelines in some areas where excavation operations cannot be carried out, such as historical site protection areas, downtown areas, crop and farmland protection areas, highways, rivers, etc. It is suitable for high-voltage transmission lines and cable strips above 10KV.

CPVC electrical pipes are mainly suitable for urban power grid construction and transformation; civil aviation airport engineering construction; engineering parks and community engineering construction; transportation, road and bridge engineering construction, etc., and play a guiding and protective role. The product has excellent performance, better than traditional asbestos cable strips, less pollution, and is an ideal replacement for traditional power pipes and cable jackets.

Difference 3: Connection method

MPP electric pipe welding machine hot melt welding docking, the welding point is about 200 degrees, no more than 22 degrees, when the temperature is reached, the two ends can be docked.

CPVC electrical pipes are plugged in, and high-temperature rubber rings are added to the flare socket connections to prevent thermal expansion and contraction. It is composed of joints, waterproof sealing rings, brackets and other components.

Difference 4: temperature environment

The pipes produced by MPP electrical pipe material work for 50 years at the external temperature of -5°C-70°C, and have a series of advantages such as high strength, good moisture resistance, easy cable threading, simple construction, and cost saving.

The pipe produced by CPVC electrical pipe material is rigid, and its material bending modulus and tensile force are strong. The flame retardant grade FV-O grade of the pipe itself will not burn and basically does not transfer heat.

Now you have a certain understanding of the similarities and differences between CPVC electrical pipes and MPP electrical pipes? If you still have questions, welcome to inquire and visit, we will give you thoughtful service.
